The Ahousat (Flores Island) hot springs are located on the western side of Ahousat Harbour (Matilda Inlet), approximately 1 kilometres east of the community of Ahousat.

The area is underlain by metamorphosed, locally foliated volcanic rocks, volcanoclastics and minor bands of garnetized limestone and chert of the Paleozoic-Mesozoic Westcoast Complex occur near diorite of the Eocene Catface Intrusions.

The water, at a temperature of 25 degrees celsius, is clear and tasteless and percolates from the ground at a rate of 11 litres per minute. Dissolved solids are 98 parts per million and pH is 9.45.
